May I introduce… the Shabby Chic Baby Blanket.
I made this sweet little concoction for a new baby in the family. A frilly, ruffly, lace doily embellishment with matching edging and monogram are perfect for a vintage or shabby chic themed room. The entire pink portion is knit, and the edging, doily, and monogram are crocheted. 5mm needles and hook make the piece work quickly, and the variation between knitting and crochet keeps things interesting. I used Lion Brand Baby’s First for the one shown above, in “Fairytale” and “Beanstalk”, which is a fabulously soft and warm bulky acrylic blend.
